Challenge

Before the adoption of the solution given by the Planet PCI, the company was doing almost all of the work manually. Another issue was that their purchase process was not centralized.

Manual processing of the work was making their tasks more prone to errors and omissions. Apart from this, the decentralized purchase system was resulting in delays in the procurement of the material and other related tasks.

Not only was this, but approval of the various decisions taking much more time than expected because of such an arrangement.

Solution

Japan Jindal Elevator Service Private Ltd. approached Planet PCI for the solution to their problem and the solution delivered to them by the Planet PCI was in the form of Developed Budget and Procurement Management Software. The Procurement Management System (PMS) was designed by the Planet PCI with the main objective of accelerating and automating the procurement and supply process. Apart from this, it is also aimed at reducing the overall operational costs involved in these processes.After the adoption of PMS, it became very easy for the company to track their procurement and supply process. A lot of modern organizations are using this system in order to centralize their activities such as approval and issuance of the purchase requests, collecting and evaluating the proposals, approving invoices, storage of the information about suppliers and deals & other related activities, etc.

Now the question arises how it works? PMS offers complete functionality for the vendors. Within a project or at the enterprise level, it manages the end to end procurement process. Its work starts from automating the Purchase request, Material request, Vendor inquiry and quotations issue of purchase order execution and then closing the order with GRN and vendor payments. The interconnected procurement process under PMS system offers real-time visibility on lead times. This interconnected procurement is integrated with the procurement module.
